I’ve always dreamt about visiting Rome. I think that one day I’ll do it. Until then, however, there is my English class masterpiecece about Time Machine that reminds me of Rome and the charm of the moment (I think the teacher gave us free of the topic creative writing task).
I have been always wondering why some people want to travel in time. I thought that it is a ridiculous idea because you would be confused if you saw yourself during your travels in the past. Or, what could be the worst thing, you might change something in the past and completely modify the following history. What if you were never born?
I had thought this way until one day I met a guy On a sunny Friday in Italy. He said he had a Time Machine. Of course, I didn’t believe him and I concluded had a great sense of humor so we spend the day together, Walking around the streets of Rome. It was virtually midnight and I realized that I had to get back home I didn’t know which part of the city we were in. The Italian guy offered to give me a lift to my hotel but only if I agreed to make a little journey in the past in his Time Machine. It sounded hilarious, but what could happen to me, I thought?
– Here we are, – he said, opening the bonnet of his car. He did something under it, but I didn’t care because I didn’t take his words about travel seriously.
– Sit down and put your seatbelt on, – he told me and rolled up his shirtsleeves. – We are going on a short trip, but it can be a little shaky. I smiled, but put my seat belt on just in case.
How we are living in a den and hiding from dinosaurs. The Time Machine has broken. I regret I haven’t seen Rome properly, and I miss hot food. There are just scattered bones of killed weak animals, dangerous beasts, and high trees. I’ve got no idea why he chose this place and this year. It would be better if we were in the time where there’s electricity at least… He’s trying to repair his car, but I don’t know how much time it will take. If someone receives this message, please, help!
